Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation to Host Strengthening Families

Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation is proud to announce the launch of its Strengthening Families Program, aimed at fostering stronger bonds and healthier communication within families. This innovative program is designed to equip parents and youth with essential skills to navigate challenges, communicate effectively, and build lasting relationships.

The Strengthening Families Program will also talk about topics such as active listening, emotional management, goal setting, peer pressure avoidance, decision-making, and fostering appreciation within family dynamics. Through engaging activities and open discussions, participants will gain practical insights and strategies to enhance family cohesion and well-being.

TVMS Spring Formal May 11th

Attention TVMS 8th Graders! 🎉 Get ready to dance the night away at the 8th Grade Spring Formal on May 11th! 💃🕺 Join us from 6pm-8pm for music by DJ Mudd, a fabulous balloon arch photo op, and yummy refreshments! 🎶🎈 Remember to see Mrs. Miller for dress help, and grab your $7 tickets during lunch from May 6th-10th! Don't miss out on creating unforgettable memories with your classmates!

Additionally, please note that only students who attend TVMS will be permitted to attend this special event and students must be promptly picked up from the TVMS main entrance at 8pm. And just a reminder this is for TVMS 8th Graders ONLY

Unified Champions Week at TVMS

Let's get pumped up, TVMS! 🎉🌟 Unified week is finally here and we are ready to show our support for inclusion and unity! Starting this Friday. Get your spirit ready for a week filled with fun dress up days, exciting activities like quarter wars, and so much more! 🎊 Let's come together as Unified Champions in the Middle and make this week one to remember. Spread kindness, embrace diversity, and be a part of the inclusion revolution at TVMS!

Winter Sports Awards Banquet

The Winter Sports Awards Banquet is scheduled for Tuesday, March 19th at the TVMS Gym. The program will commence at 5:30 p.m. All students who participated in winter sports are encouraged to attend with their families.
This event aims to recognize and celebrate the achievements and efforts of the student-athletes throughout the winter sports season. Coaches and team members will be honored, and individual awards will be presented. We look forward to seeing everyone there to celebrate the successes of our winter sports teams.

School is Closed: Teacher Workday 3/15/2024

Attention all students and parents: There will be no classes today due to a scheduled teacher workday. School will resume as normal on Monday, March 18th.

Parent Teacher Conferences are This Week

Reminder: This week is parent-teacher conferences. If you have not already done so, please schedule a meeting with your child's teacher. Conferences provide an opportunity to discuss your child's progress and address any concerns you may have.

This Friday, March 15th, school will be closed for a scheduled teacher workday. Please plan accordingly for alternative arrangements. If you have any questions or need to schedule a conference, don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or the school office. Thank you for your cooperation and involvement in your child's education.

*The Tippecanoe Valley Bands will present their Christmas Concert TONIGHT at 7:30 p.m. at the TVHS Gym. Please come join us as they perform the sounds of the season!
*7/8th grade Girls basketball practice will begin on Monday, December 18th from 5:15-7:00 p.m. You must have an up to date physical on file along with Final Forms completed in order to practice. If you have any questions regarding either one of these forms, please contact Mrs. Simons.
*TVSC Christmas Break will begin at the close of school on Friday, December 22nd and will be closed through Monday, January 8th. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024.
*The TVMS Scripps Spelling Bee will be held on 1/12/2024 during Advisory. If you are interested in participating, sign up in the office and pick up a study a study list.
*The 6th graders will be going on a field trip to the Wagon Wheel to watch the play "THE CHRISTMAS CAROL" on Dec.15th.
*The 7th graders will be going on a field trip to the Barns in Nappanee to watch the play "ELF" on Dec. 20th. There is a $5 charge for this trip. Students will depart the middle school at 9:00 a.m. and return somewhere around 1:30 p.m.
*The 8th graders will be going on a field trip on Dec. 20th to the Warsaw Roller Skating Rink. They will leave the middle school at 12:00 p.m. and should return around 2:30 p.m.
*Yearbook order forms are now available in the office and have been passed out in classes. Yearbooks are $20 and you may also order them online at ybpay.com Yearbook ID Code: 11123024 and School Name: TIPPECANOE VALLEY MIDDLE SCHOOL.
*ATTENTION: Middle School Strength & Speed Development Training with Coach Zolman and Coach Webster will be held at TVHS in the weightroom, door #8 on Wednesday mornings from 7-7:45 a.m. This is available to all students in grades 6th-8th grade. There will be a shuttle bus provided to transport students from the high school to the middle school.
*The TVMS FCS (Fellowship of Christian Students) will meet on Tuesday mornings. The meetings will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will be held in the library. Any student at TVMS is welcome to come. If school is delayed or cancelled - we will NOT meet. Our goal is to support each other in faith and fellowship as we study the Bible. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Michel in the library.
*Viking Vittles will be available once again. Viking Vittles operates like Boomerang Backpacks. On Fridays, a bag of food will be sent home with students to help provide a meal and snacks for the weekend. If this is something you are interested in, please come to the office, and pick up a permission form. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Rickel in the cafeteria at 574-598-2200.
*Breakfast is served daily from 7:45-8:10 a.m.
*ATTENTION STUDENTS & PARENTS: If you are going to be leaving during school hours for any sort of appointment, funeral or activity please send a note to school or an email to Mrs. Simons at [email protected]. She will then give a pass to the student when it is time for the student to leave. Any questions please contact the office at 574-598-2249.
*Parents/Students: If you are changing your end of the day travel plans, please make sure changes are made by 2:30 p.m. each day. Please call the middle school office at 574-598-2200 with the changes that need to be made so we can make sure that the student is notified in a timely manner.
